Australia's leading mezzo soprano to perform at Pearl Beach 2008

Mezzo soprano Sally-Anne Russell will perform at this years Opera in the Arboretum March 29 at Pearl Beach. Sally-Anne has performed over 40 operatic roles throughout Europe, America and Asia. She regularly performs major roles with Opera Australia including Cherubino in Marriage of Figaro, Mallika in Lakme and Bradamante in Alcina.

Sally-Anne will sing the stunning arias of the mezzo repertoire including mon-coer (Samson and Delilah), una voce poco fa (Barber of Seville and che faro (Euridice).

Sally-Anne will be joined by Opera Australia tenor Henry Choo, Russian bass Gennadi Dubinsky and soprano Stephanie Acraman. Accompanying the singers is pianist Jem Harding. Ensemble repertoire will feature the Barcarole duet, Rigoletto quartet, the Pearl Fishers duet and more.

The event will also feature a special performance by the Central Coast Conservatorium String Orchestra.
